The art of having no idea – Laurence Shorter
The Lazy Guru Laurence Shorter returns to Summercamp for his super popular workshop on living (and loving) a lazier life. Author of The Lazy Guru’s Guide to Life, a frequent blogger, speaker and workshop leader, Laurence certainly seems to get a lot done for the spokesperson of doing nothing...but then, that’s the whole trick.
"It's fine, it's fine. If you make mistakes you learn really quick. You just learn really quick- so fake it. What I'm saying is, if you've got an idea and you don't really know how to do it, that's fine. It's just more important to just start, cause you'll learn really quick."
Steve Stark's methods combine his experience in media, broadcasting and management with an aptitude for designing practical ways to change things. He founded his company Then Somehow to help organisations understand and change their culture to become better places to work.
His work is aimed at moments of transformation: those times when people start to feel the benefits of the work they did together.
In his spare time he makes cider.
Steve's talk Starting Out From the Core is a case study of how to make something, grow it, pace it and finally balance it alongside your other life commitments.

“We get stressed and stuck. Why does that happen? We’re pretending we know what we’re doing, when actually we have no idea. If you’re ever stuck and you’re wondering how to change something that’s not moving, the best possible thing you can do is go into that space of ‘no idea’.”
